About me
How did I end up with misprints?
I came to Germany when I was 7 years old (1984) as the son of a guest worker. When I had the German MARK in my hands and looked at it, I noticed that the coins differed from each other. This made me wonder if the different coins could be counterfeit. At that time there were various 2 Mark coins with the stamp of Willy Brand, Adenauer, Heuß, Schuhmacher and later other 2 Mark varieties.
Then I also found the 50 pfennigs with Bank of German States from 1949 between the 50 pfennigs with Federal Republic of Germany from 1950 onwards.
This brought my question back into play as to whether these were misprints due to the deviations?
After asking several questions to different people, I was told that incorrect coinage is still in circulation. The answer at least confirmed my suspicions: Yes! And one day my brother said that the 50 pfennigs from 1950 with a "G" seal from the Bank of Germany were valuable.
So my research began.
From then until...
